Compass Psychotherapy is an upcoming mental health services provider founded on the belief that quality, empathetic care should be the standard, not the exception. They identified a gap in the market: a lack of truly person-centered mental health support. They needed a brand identity that communicated expertise and professionalism while feeling warm, inviting, and deeply human.

The challenge was creating something that honored the seriousness of mental health work without feeling clinical or cold. The brand needed to reflect their core philosophy: "It's ok to be lost." This positioning acknowledges that seeking help is not weakness, but wisdom. Compass Psychotherapy exists as a co-pilot on your journey, helping you find direction again.

I developed a comprehensive brand identity spanning logo, color system, typography, full brand system, collateral, and website. The visual language needed to communicate empathy, nurturing, and authenticity while remaining professional and trustworthy. The result is a brand that feels like a partner in your healing, not just a provider.

The Compass Psychotherapy mark uses the letter C as its focal point, constructed entirely from three simple shapes: a triangle, a square, and a quarter circle. These primary geometric forms work together in a continuous, overlapping design that hints at ideas of continuity and connection. The three shapes are rendered in the three primary colors from the palette, creating a vibrant, playful mark that feels both modern and approachable.

The simplicity of the construction belies the depth of the concept. Just as Compass helps clients navigate complex emotional terrain, the mark shows how simple elements can come together to create something whole and meaningful. The continuous overlapping reinforces the brand's commitment to ongoing support and connection throughout the healing journey.

VISUAL LANGUAGE

The palette is Bauhaus-inspired, using primary colors in a way that feels playful yet grounded. This approach communicates warmth and approachability without sacrificing professionalism. Simple geometry creates complex patterns and illustrations, reinforcing the idea that even complex emotional journeys can be navigated with the right support.

Typography pairs Recoletta, a warm and inviting serif with personality, with Brandon Grotesque for clean, modern legibility. Together they create a balance between human warmth and professional confidence. The visual system feels both contemporary and timeless, creating a cohesive identity that clients can trust.
